 Kelly's Story

I started wakeboarding when I was 10.  My parents and I were at a boat show when we met someone from Southtown.  I’d never heard of it but it looked awesome.  We bought a board and I learned behind our 1990 pink Baja, definitely not your typical wakeboard boat.  I got up on my first try and instantly loved it.  I did camps with STR and even continued to wakeboard when I broke my arm.  I had to stop when our boat was stolen and I got into other sports.  3 years later I started doing school league and got a little more serious with wakeboarding.  Last year, Danny invited me to Bible study and that’s when my walk with God started.  Thanks to Danny I feel so much closer to God. This year has been amazing because of Southtown.  I’ve met so many amazing people through wakeboarding and it’s completely changed who I am.  Being a part of Southtown Riders was one of the best things that could’ve happened to me and I’m so thankful for it.
